HUTTON AVENUE
This 1970’s red-brick and tile house was renovated into a beautiful and contemporary beach home. Removal of the kitchen, dining, and lounge areas from the north side has allowed the addition of a two-storey extension with a double garage, rumpus, bedroom, ensuite, stairwell, kitchen, dining, family room and verandah.
Featuring polished concrete floors to the ground-level and 180mm stringy-bark hardwood floorboards to the first floor, the house was instantly transformed to ‘coastal living’. The staircase consists of kiln-dried hardwood treads leading upstairs , which then offers an open-plan living area with high ceilings. Feature corner windows with louvres take advantage of the northerly aspect and allow for the capturing of cooling ocean breezes.
Outside combines a tiled verandah and vertical cladding to complement the rendered ground floor.
